Hero Maestro review

Hero has always been one of my favorite motor cycle brands and when Hero Maestro was launched I was one of those few to book it immediately. Everyone wanted me to opt of Honda Active but Hero Motor Corp. is one brand I really look up to and so I went ahead with my decision and bought home a Hero Maestro.

I have been using it for over three months now and I would like to share my experience with the scooty. I am happy with the pickup and power but what really isn’t satisfactory is the mileage. Hero Maestro gives a mileage of just 30 even after 2 servicing and that in my opinion is terrible. I even went to the service center for checkup but even they couldn’t sort out the problem. Servicing here at Hero Honda, Beekay Motors, SIliguri is lethargic and for the name of servicing they just wash up your Scooty which also isn’t done properly.

I have tried consulting the local motor engineers and even they couldn’t sort out the problem so the major disappointment is the mileage performance for my Hero Maestro. Secondly Hero Maestro has a plastic body as compared to Honda Activa so unluckily if you meet up with an accident you just get a 50 percent insurance claim.

So all these short comings make Honda Activa a better scooty than Hero Maestro and I would personally advice not buying it. For the first time Hero Motor Corp Ltd. Has let me down and I feel like selling it of even with a loss of 10-15 thousand.

I am still trying to sort out the mileage problem but the plastic body is something which cannot be solved. The only positive about the plastic body though is the spare parts are cheap and you can replace it cheaply.
