Whenever I suffer from fever, the first OTC medications that comes in my mind is Dolo 650Mg. Dolo 650 Mg contains paracetamol which is used for treating minor pain and reducing fever. Most of the members in our family are aware of Dolo 650Mg and since it is readily available over the counter at any medical store, we normally don’t keep more than few tablets in our first aid kit.

Dolo 650 Uses
Generally it is used for treating minor pain and reducing fever linked to common cold, back pain, dental problem, headache, minor migraine pains, etc. Dolo 650Mg may also be prescribed for condiotns not listed above.

Though Dolo 650Mg is an effective OTC medicine but it has many side effects and for that we don’t use it on children in our household. Dizziness, weakness, nausea and stomach effects associated to Dolo 650Mg which disappears when the uses of Dolo 650Mg are stopped but children just might not be able to handle the side effects.
Since Dolo 650Mg contains paracetamol, it is also not advisable for prolonged use and alcoholic patients also shouldn’t use Dolo 650Mg. Prolonged uses of Dolo 650Mg could cause permanent damage to the liver and the kidneys. If the symptoms don’t improve, stop using the medication and consult a doctor.

OTC medicines are not considered safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding; consult a doctor before using Dolo 650Mg during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Tips and warning
·         Don’t use Dolo 650Mg if you are allergic to any of its active ingredients.
·         Consult a doctor, if the symptoms don’t improve on continuous use.
·         Don’t intake Dolo 650Mg while driving or operating heavy machinery, doing so could prove fatal.
·         Alcoholic patients should avoid using the OTC medication.
·         Some medicines may interact with Dolo 650Mg; consult a doctor if you are administering other drugs for any pre-existing health condtions.
